The Susan B. Komen Race for the Cure

The date has been set for the 15th Annual Komen Northeast Ohio Race for the Cure! The Race for the Cure, presented by in downtown Cleveland between Ontario Street and E. 6th Street and between Lakeside Avenue and Superior Avenue.

 

The Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure Series raises significant funds and awareness for the fight against breast cancer, celebrates breast cancer survivorship, and honors those who have lost their battle with the disease. This year more than 200,000 women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer and more than 40,000 will die from the disease.  The Komen Northeast Ohio Race for the CureĀ® has an event for all ages and skill levels. For those who like to run, a 5 kilometer (3.1 miles) Race will be held for men and women. For walkers, the Race offers a non-competitive, untimed 1-Mile Walk. Those who want to walk a longer distance may join the runners in the 5 kilometer Race.Details for forming a race team will be forthcoming.
